Abstract

With the rapid technological advancement, it has become essential to employ and adapt artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in various design fields, including the design of conference bags. Many of these bags lack elements that reinforce national identity, leading to the research problem: how can AI technologies be used as tools to enhance national identity?

This research aims to adapt AI technologies to develop innovative design solutions for conference bags that reflect national identity. These designs inspired by traditional decorative motifs, with the goal of strengthening national identity. The research includes the creation and implementation of proposed conference bag designs that integrate heritage elements, it adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology by gathering information on patterns from ancient Egyptian civilization and Egyptian folk art to applied to conference bag designs using AI techniques. It research also follows a quasi-experimental approach, involving practical design experiments conducted by the researchers using AI and heritage motifs. The designs incorporate various printing techniques, such as batik, stencil, tie-dye, transfer printing, digital printing, and hand embroidery.

The research is bounded by three key areas: Subjective boundaries focusing on the innovation of conference bag designs that promote national identity spatial boundaries in Arab Republic of Egypt, and temporal boundaries in the contemporary era.

The study concludes that it is possible to innovate conference bag designs that enhance national identity by leveraging AI, printing techniques, and embroidery. It recommends fostering interdisciplinary research to address societal issues and ensuring that products for conferences and international events reflect a uniquely Egyptian identity.
