Abstract:

Arts have been classified by many philosophers through several variables:

1- Visual art, which is represented by sculpture, architecture and photography.

2- Verbal art, which is represented by the art of literature and poetry.

3- Auditory art, which is represented by music.

4- Mixed arts/media, which is represented by cinema and theater.

The philosopher (Maurice Nedoncell) classifies the arts based on the activity of the five senses. In addition to visual and auditory arts, there are muscular tactile arts, such as dance and sports, and arts that combine sight, hearing, touch and movement, such as theater and cinema which called Mixed arts.

Thus, the theater is dedicated to a place where there is harmony between the muscular tactile arts represented in dance and the visual arts represented in the artistic backgrounds.

The researcher here specializes in the color element and its impact on the harmony between the dance movements and the theatrical background. Research Problem: Does the use of colors in the theatrical performances have a major role in the harmony between the senses of touch and sight in performance art shows? Importance of the research: Identifying the value of color and its psychological and physiological impact in the theatrical performance, In addition to the effect of color aesthetically on the backgrounds of the theatrical performances. Research objectives: Focus on the color space in the theatrical background and its impact on the harmony and integration of the theatrical image. Limitation of the research: The theatrical performance (Daphnis et Chloé) in 2018 at the Bastille Opera in Paris.
