Abstract

In recent years, many books have been published on the subject of Sufism and Spirituality in the Islamic heritage. They differ from each other in perspective and spirituality in the Islamic heritage, in addition to the perspective of addressing this issue. The phenomenon of Sufism is an extensive and vast phenomenon.
The term “Sufism” is the one used for spiritualism in Islam. It is the largest spiritual current in all religions, not only in Islam. Many of the leading scholars, especially in Britain, mentioned the impact of modern Platonism on Sufism, as mentioned by the orientalist Nicholson in his famous introduction to his selections that included the poems of Jalal alddin Al-Romy who has greatly affected the Sufi poetry and thus the plastic arts so far for the Arabs and foreigners.
Mevlana Jalal alddin Al-Romy established the Mevlevi Order, Sufi dance and chanting as many of the most important results of Jalal alddin Al-Romy, which expanded, spread and arrived in Egypt since the Ottoman era; and then developed into the Egyptian Al-Tanurah.
The Sufi art appeared for the first time in the Safavid era on the walls and ceiling of shrines in Iran in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, and has derived itself from the Buddhist drawing. The most important artists who were interested in remembrance, religion and Mevlevi in their artworks included Mahmoud Saeed, Ahmad Mustafa and Amani Zahran.
Through this concept, we search the folds of the non-materialistic world and the hidden expression beyond the materialistic elements, which emphasizes the importance of the non-materialistic dimension in modern design. It also emphasizes the existence of many elements combining the functional dimension and the spiritual dimension in design and concludes methods of interior design based on artistic and spiritual construction.
