Abstract

There is no doubt that energy of all kinds is the basis of the continuation and progress of human life, that is produced primarily from fossil fuels that are about to run out, which has attracted the interest of researchers for a long time to search for alternatives to it.

Despite the emergence and spread of new and renewable energies technologies during the past two centuries, and with all the interest these technologies encounter in the field of scientific research, and the expansion of their exploitation in the form of stations and applications, we do not, as industrial designers, have a guide to actually guide us in designing these applications.

Where the research problem lies in the fact that the process of designing applications of new and renewable energies depends on the efficiency and diligence of the designer, and there are no specific design considerations that the industrial designer uses to design these applications, which makes it difficult for him to perform his task, and does not guarantee its success in the end. This is in addition to not making the best use of these technologies in developing and serving society and preserving the environment from the damages of fossil fuels.

The research aims to :

1- Determining the types of renewable energies that can be incorporated into products - in all their fields - to become part of them and the main source of their operating energy.

2- Setting industrial design considerations for the applications of new and renewable energies, which are considered as a guide for designing and building these products.

The research followed the inferential approach, and its results were to identify the types of new and renewable energies that are suitable for their incorporation into different products. Industrial design considerations for the applications of new and renewable energies were also developed.

The researcher has applied the results of the research to ensure their validity through the use of the inferred considerations in developing proposed designs for three products that serve the community and the environment in different fields, and rely on the new and renewable energies selected in their operation, which are: sterilized surgical instruments powered by solar thermal energy, and a navigational chandelier powered by energy. The wave, and a poultry hatchery that is powered by electrically powered solar energy. He also surveyed these designs by holding an application exhibition in which prototypes were shown.
