Abstract

Despite the change in the policies and economics of cotton cultivation, marketing, and manufacturing from one period of time to another, and from one economic philosophy to another different economic philosophy, Egyptian cotton remains a permanent mainstay of the pillars of agriculture in Egypt, a strategic pillar, and a major source of income for a large segment of farmers, producers, manufacturers, merchants, exporters, and workers, as well Occupying the leading position among the clothing fibers, it is the most suitable for Egypt's climatic conditions

The study of the apparent shape and composition of the cotton plant is one of the matters of interest to cotton producers and textile designers, hence the idea of the research, which is how to take advantage of the shape of the cross section of the cotton filament in making textile designs suitable for the furnishings of the child’s room. Indeed, ten textile designs were invented using the computer through a program Specialized in textile design (Nedgraphics), and these designs were evaluated by a group of specialized arbitrators through the preparation of a questionnaire containing four main axes, which are design elements, design principles, achieving the aesthetic aspect in the design, as well as achieving the functional aspect.

The results revealed the success of the proposed design vision and implemented models.

The study also reached a set of recommendations that, if implemented, could develop the level and aesthetics of textile designs for children's room furnishing fabrics in the Egyptian society.
