Abstract

The sculptor has employed successive innovations in technical and mechanical sciences to facilitate and accelerate the process of reproducing sculptural models, especially after the technological revolution that entered various areas of life, represented by computer technology. This had a strong and effective impact on the sculptor’s creative media, and it began to give the sculptor an impetus for what They aspire to it by exploiting all available capabilities, With the rapid development and emergence of the third generation in technological processes of production, systems applications diversified in many areas of design and manufacturing, which sought to benefit from computer and software technologies and apply them in the design process. Digital technologies also extended to manufacturing, which sought to transform traditional production into lean production that relied on capacity. mentality and shortening manual work to the concept of computer manufacturing, which includes all the activities involved in the process of planning and controlling production, such as digital computer control.

The researcher presents the concept of reproducing sculptural work, and some of the modern techniques used in the production of sculptural reproductions such as (electrodeposition technique - plumbing reproduction technique - pantograph technique - digital control technique - formatography technique). The research problem lies in the impact of modern techniques on the development of the implementation of sculptural reproductions, and the researcher presents the results:

1- Finding the best compatible technology for reproducing sculptural work in high quality while reducing costs and production intensity.

2- The possibility of obtaining large and small-sized copies of the original work, which saves the sculptor a lot of time and effort.

3- Using appropriate technology in the cloning process leads to avoiding many defects and problems that may affect the final product.

4- Using digital technologies, the sculptor can transform the sculptural model into any material, whether a strong material such as marble or a weak material such as wax.
