Abstract

The importance of the events that occurred throughout history varied, some of which were of great importance and had a significant impact on the human scene, and some were fleeting events that went unnoticed and were not recorded in the book of history. Human history has recorded many of the events that have occurred to humanity since God Almighty created Adam, peace be upon him, until the present day. Fine art has had the greatest role in recording society’s political, social, cultural, historical and other important events over time in different eras, with the aim of reminding Viewers with these details of important events, and the recording of historical and national topics has occupied an enormous space in ancient, modern and contemporary works of art.

We find that many of these topics often mimic the biographies of kings and leaders and scenes of peoples’ victories and war battles. Such works of art remain the beacon that carries the torch of peoples’ struggles and victories that cannot be erased by time

The art of sculpture in general and the art of the medal in particular have had the largest share in drawing aesthetic values through the formulation of its ideas and the artistic themes it embodies, whose aesthetic value is highlighted in the process of plastic construction. The design of the medal does not end with drawing on paper only, but rather it is a continuous link that does not end except by implementing it. And the formation of the medal. The medal designer is the one who is able to translate what the design concluded on paper, and we find that from the historical idea of commemorating the memory on murals and coins grew the idea of immortalizing important events and prominent figures on medals.
