Abstract

The using of colors in arts comes from the designers need to search for visual impact, stimulate the ideal instinct for vision, and reconcile the aesthetic and functional goals of complex artwork. Color represents a great expressive and aesthetic energy, and its rhythm greatly distinguishes the artwork and gives a suggestive movement to the design, as its function is one of the basics of building the design idea with color relationships that are psychologically linked to its meanings and themes, achieving a strong impact on the recipient through its content and composition.

Colors have the ability to create a strong and quick impression by creating psychological and physiological effects in the visual era of contemporary complex artwork. We notice that warm colors appear lighter and suggest progress and radiance, while cold colors suggest contraction and also appear heavier. We find that yellow, orange and red have connotations in design composition, so they appear closer and more advanced than cold colors such as blue and green. This is what achieves the perspective dimension of colors in design. Through the research, the role and value of color as a formative element of artistic work is clarified, the role of color rhythm in contemporary complex artwork and the extent of its influence on clarifying the artwork idea and content itself. And that by analyzing the psychological and physiological of color impact and its impact on contemporary complex artwork, The extent of achievement of the visual rhythm in complex artwork using a specific color palette. The study of visual color perception has an important and influential role in understanding and analyzing the complex artwork, especially after contemporary arts broke the rules of the traditional arts.

Color in the visual arts in general and contemporary complex artwork in particular, is the formative and functional factor that is formed through the rules and principles of the natural and civilized environment surrounding us, and color represents the musical rhythm of the visual arts like the musical note and its ability to diversify that arouses feelings, and the colors that add joy to the recipients souls, as the eye always needs color to arouse our emotions , feelings and our enjoyment of the environment around us, to achieve the required color rhythm, and this is what we may find in contemporary complex artwork.
