Co-Creativity through the Phases of Design Thinking to Guide Artificial Intelligence Solutions: An Applied Research on Innovation Visualization

The research aims to reveal how artificial intelligence solutions can be guided by co- creative designer during the design thinking phases to enrich innovative visualization. This is done by refuting the aspects of utilizing the capabilities of artificial intelligence during the design thinking phases, seeking to frame the co-creativity process for directing artificial intelligence solutions, and revealing the effectiveness of employing the capabilities of artificial intelligence through design thinking phases on the evaluation degree of innovative visualization. The research followed the applied and quasi-experimental approach, using observation for the work groups, an evaluation form for innovative visualization of prototypes, and statistical methods to test the research hypothesis. The research is seeking to find statistically significant differences between the evaluation degrees of prototypes that were conceived by employing the capabilities of artificial intelligence during the design thinking phases and the prototypes that were conceived without employing the capabilities of artificial intelligence. The research found that there are two types of artificial intelligence creative processes reinforce, mental processes and productive processes. Also, the research reached out an applied model for co-creativity process in directing artificial intelligence solutions through the stages of design thinking. Moreover, it was found that there are statistically significant differences in the evaluation degree of innovative visualization between the prototypes that were conceived by employing the capabilities of artificial intelligence during the stages of design thinking and the prototypes that were conceived without employing the capabilities of artificial intelligence during the stages of design thinking. The research also calls for more studies and research to be conducted on the results to generalize them. It is also possible to benefit from the “Co-creativity Model in Directing Artificial Intelligence Solutions during the Design Thinking Phases” to apply and test it on projects that require solving problems without being limited to innovative visualization. Moreover, it can be usfull for Modeling deep learning software processes.
